Her chubby look and cute expressive eyes remind us about someone. Can we call this girl ‘Kutty Jyothika’? The Bangalorian lass has been renamed as Vennila by the crew of her first Tamil film. It is too rare to find a proper Tamil name among the heroines in our industry, her name seem to bring in a blow of fresh air. Thanks to the assistant directors for choosing her a native name.

Though her mother tongue is Kannada, she has a slight idea about Tamil as it is her third language at her school. “Am learning Malayalam and Telugu through tuition from the time when I got the interest to act in Telugu and Malayalam films”, says the girl.

Vennila’s real name is Krithika Prasad and made her first appearance by the Kannada film ‘Hedi Maha’. Dance master Balaji brought the girl to Tamil after the hit of her second Kannada film ‘Barole’.

‘Vetkathai Kettal Enna Tharuvai’ is her first Tamil movie produced by Ramachandran, Pavendar, Dhivaan, Moanhraj under the banner of Silver Jubilee Movies. “The hero has helped me a lot in correcting my Tamil pronunciation”, says this chubby beauty. ‘Vetkathai Kettal Enna Tharuvai’ directed by Thabu Sankar has Ramakrishnan of ‘Kungumapoovum Konjumpuravum’ fame in the lead and music by D. Imman.
